Live - I use Live and love it - It has a fully functional demo - it is a bit different to a trad DAW in ethos though and while it's brilliant for composing and live performance, lacks some features in a common DAW which may or may not affect you - i.e. It has fewer synths and sound content than Logic but also has some plugins such as Variaudio, which is a killer pitch correction.ĭigital Performer - no one mentioned but DP7 is actually very good too. Until v8 the MIDI also was lacking.Ĭubase 5 is awesome (I use it on PC) it also runs well on Mac, unlike some ealrlier versions of Cubase. PTLE and MP are by no means a match for a real PTHD system. Good range of synths and plugins, not as bad a learning curve to use since V8. Logic because it is totally optimized for the platform. ![]()
